Romantic Indian American Wedding in Utah at La Caille

This stunning, romantic Indian American wedding in Utah at La Caille called for florals that represented two cultures, blending together in one symbolic union. The idea was to embolden flower designs with the traditional red hue found in Indian weddings. The vivacious tone represents new beginnings, prosperity, fertility, love, and passion. We also added traditional American tones like creamy pinks and whites.

The couple's chosen venue, the Chateau at La Caille, has an atmosphere of romance. Paving the way for an Indian American wedding in Utah that evoked elegance and whimsical florals for a day where two cultures were joined together in marriage.

Blending Two Cultures Through Floral Design

Unmistakably, Indian weddings are known for their vibrant, lively color palettes. They are often rich with shades of red, orange, and yellow. Each color is thought to be auspicious and representative of blessings bestowed upon the couple getting married.

Approaching this Indian American wedding in Utah, we knew that we had to find a delicate balance of both cultures. The idea was to honor each one equally, showcasing how seamlessly two became one.

The base of the floral designs began, of course, with red. Brides often wear red lehengas at an Indian wedding, and our bride's lehenga was incredibly ornate. It featured gold embroidery and intricately designed patterns and detailing. Adding red to the floral design was about enhancing the bride's look, without detracting from it. To keep our beautiful bride as the main focal point, we added greenery, creamy pinks, and white to balance her bouquet.

Our overall design process included key floral touch points such as red roses for the aisle, arrangements placed on either side of the aisle (which were later moved to the reception), and venue enhancements such as florals for the mantle piece, where the couple was joined in marriage. We also provided bud vases, which were set on the cake table, as well as the couple's fun take on a bar; a ‘mocktail’ station. Lastly, loose florals were provided for curating flatlays of the couple's stationery suite and jewelry.
