Sleepy Ridge Wedding Florals
A wedding at Sleepy Ridge beckons florals that enhance the natural beauty of the lavish space.
Styling a wedding venue takes a skilled eye, one that understands how to curate a cohesive design. But also, one that understands how to use natural light for your setup. Altogether enhancing your wedding flowers for gorgeous photography. After all, your wedding flowers will be in the backdrop of your ceremony, on your lapel, and in your hands for a large portion of your day. Understanding what flowers work best for each of those moments, while also staying true to your vision, is a large part of the decision-making process when selecting arrangements and stems.
The wedding florals featured below, for the indoor space at Sleepy Ridge are an amalgam of modern design with a boho aesthetic. To achieve this look, I used a color palette of whites, creams, tans, beiges, and blush. In fact, if you are searching for the best blush-toned rose when selecting your wedding flowers, I always recommend quicksand roses. The tone of quicksand roses can only be best described as taupe meets blush. Above all, one of the many reasons I always highly recommend this flower is because it photographs beautifully.
My bride for this Sleepy Ridge Wedding was classically styled for her wedding day. Her gown was a long silk ball gown with a bow detail. Her hair was free-flowing with light beachy waves. So striking the proper balance between classic wedding day attire and modern wedding flowers was an important focus of the design process.

The neutral color palette used for the wedding florals at Sleepy Ridge provided an elevated look to the ceremony space. And in this instance, I noticed the opportunity to add to the space with the selection of an arch backdrop and hand-selected rugs. The aisle arrangements were neutral-colored stems in oversized barely there blue jugs. The addition of the rugs worked to draw attention to the aisle floral arrangements. All without distracting the eye and keeping the styling and design harmoniously balanced.
But, where floral design starts on the day of the wedding is always with getting ready details. Your invitation suite, your vow books, wedding day jewelry, or a luxe pair of bridal shoes. They all have a moment to be photographed before you are dressed and ready to be wed. For these details, I always recommend ordering extra loose florals in order to create flatlays of your wedding day details. On an elegant bride, wedding day shoes are worn beautifully. But, laid next to loose florals which have been carefully placed to enhance the beauty of the shoes, it’s easy to see the difference.
The last element of note for these Sleepy Ridge wedding florals is a custom floral shawl. In the winter months, couples tend to feel their options for wedding flowers are limited. Adding in a unique element, such as a floral shawl, provides you with an additional piece that can be used in multiple ways. It's a fantastic way to elevate the look of your indoor winter wedding. You’ll get to see how the floral shawl photographs while being worn by the bride, and also as an aisle piece, in the photos below.
