Boho Wedding Flowers Utah

Luxurious boho wedding flowers embodied the spirit of the West for this wedding at The Lodge at Blue Sky. My bride came to me with a specific vision for her wedding day. She wanted to lean into the rustic, desert feel of her mountainous wedding venue, with boho wedding flowers. Curating boho wedding flowers in Utah is always about achieving a specific vibe with the proper tones. For this wedding, I used natural earthy shades of terra cotta, white, and cream. These shades paired together provided a rich, luxurious, feeling but with the embodiment of a free spirit.

I knew that my bride's wedding bouquet was going to be a large focal point throughout the day. After all, it would be in her hands during her first look, ceremony, and portraits. It's typically not until reception time that the bouquet leaves a bride's hands. Meaning, it will be depicted in a vast majority of her wedding day portraits. I worked on creating a wedding bouquet with an open-facing design, specifically for this reason. I knew this design would photograph beautifully while also lending itself to the overall wedding day experience. The concept behind this open design was to have the appearance of being loose and free. But without cascading flowers in one central direction. This allowed each stem within the bouquet to create a visually stunning floral experience for my bride. As planned, it photographed exquisitely and full of volume.

The Lodge at Blue Sky is the epitome of an extraordinary ridgeline wedding venue in Utah. However, it also embodies the Western spirit. It’s not uncommon for couples getting married at The Lodge at Blue Sky to wear cowboy boots or even ride a horse into their ceremony. For this particular wedding, I knew that my couple’s style would be classic but modern. The groom wore a crisp blue suit and ditched the tie. The bride wore a gorgeous sheath-style wedding gown covered in a beautifully detailed embroidered design evoking natural elements.

During the ceremony, just beyond the horizon, far off in the distance was a picturesque backdrop of the ridgeline. Bringing together the bride and groom’s style with the epic backdrop of their ceremony, meant creating boho wedding flowers that beautifully intertwined for their Utah wedding. The wedding ceremony was to be accented by an open triangular wooden arbor. While the floral arrangements created for this arbor mimicked those of the bride's bouquet, there was one special inclusion to make their ceremony space stand out. Bursts of dried pampas grass in a creamy neutral tone.

The dried pampas grass was just what was needed to keep the view in the distance unhindered and also provide my bride and groom with bountiful ceremony arrangements to adorn their arbor. Beside their arbor stood two wooden barrels on either side. The natural elements of the barrels were juxtaposed with floral arrangements in chic round gold vases.
